Deflicker problems with Mac/AE CS5 Options

i did a day to night timelapse and obviously have the flicker..have tried to use gbdeflicker with no luck...im using AE cs5 and installed the program correctly followed everything in the video but still have no luck..actually it looks like the effect is not even taking effect off the bat....i really want to buy this as have many timelapse projects in future but really need help getting started...

couple things i noticed ..
broken green render line in the composition window (that means its not rendering everything?)
contrary to the videos i never got a luminance graph input/output variance totals when i ran the clip

other then that upon export pretty much looks the same

i am new to AE but am a quick study so any help will appreciated...i don't mind sending a portion of the clip for someone to clean up and tell me how they did it

I have this exact problem, only I'm using the Windows version. I do get an initial input variance total, but even after I run GBDeflicker I get no output variance, nor do I get a luminance graph.

When I run GBD, I do notice *some* difference in the before/after footage, but the biggest effect is that the darker frames get milky. Not exactly the "correction" I was looking for....

Does anyone have any advice?
