Restore settings after disconnection Options

I am using a Powershot G3 and an A520. Both running fine on GBT on the same computer. However since I'm doing macro photography I have set the AF to "Close Up". Now my problem is that if there is a reset and reconnection, which seems to be unavoidable, all settings except the "Close Up" is restored, which results in a series of blurry pictures. The restore settings is set in the preferences. Now this looks to me like a bug in the program, but maybe I am doing something wrong here.

I just downloaded a newer version and it seems to work ok now.

I thought it was solved with ver 2.17, however yesterday it happened again after a connection reset. Since it did work properly when shutting manually down and restarting GB Timelapse I thought it had been solved. But seems to function differently when a reset occurs. Would be happy if this issue could be addressed.

Here is the last log file, see the initial settings after a disconnect. The only parameter that is not restored is the "Close Up".
